Collette Vacations has been organizing trips since 1918, making it the country's oldest tour company. It is also one of the nation's largest with offices in Canada, England, and Australia. Collette offers hundreds of tours and departure dates in three categories: Collette Vacations with land tours, rail journeys, and river cruises; Collette Explorations with smaller, more cultural immersion programs; and Collette Family Vacations with family-oriented travel packages.
Tours of Distinction is a 50-year-old company offering a variety of domestic and foreign tours and cruises. The Ludlow Travel Club has chosen some of this company's short, land-only programs, including trips to Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Upstate New York. It has also taken air tours to Michigan and Chicago, Southern California, and South Africa.

By doing so, the two organizations
were able to assemble
larger
groups and offer trips
to a greater variety of destinations.
